Stilbaai is also known as the Bay of Sleeping Beauty, is a town allocated along the southern coast of South Africa about four hours by car from Cape Town. It is part of the Hessequa Local Municipality in the Western Cape province.
Stilbaai forms part of the famous, “Garden Route” it is close neighbours to Melkhoutfontein and Jongensfontein. It is situated along the Goukou River where it meets the Indian Ocean on the Southern Cape coast of South Africa.

Feeding the Eels
Feel free to visit the Tourism Bureau housed at Palinggat Homestead in Stilbaai where you will see the only tame eels in South Africa being fed.
